Duties and Responsibilities:

The Yard Technician is responsible for tracking and maintaining the equipment inventory in the yard. Inspecting equipment before leaving and returning to the yard. Performing periodic company owned yard inventories.

• Tracks equipment movements through the company owned yard and make sure all movements (ins and outs) are documented.
• Performs inspections on equipment before leaving the yard. Performs inspections upon the equipment's return to the yard.
• Work closely with Dispatch, Field Personnel and Rental Coordinator to correct inventory discrepancies.
• Responsible for some minor equipment repair and refurbishment.
• Be able to to obtain the necessary permits to meet state requirements for the trucking of company owned equipment and third party equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrates excellent communication and have the ability to develop relationships employees and third-party contractors.
• Highly motivated and able to multi-task, plan and make decisions effectively.
• Takes pride in the appearance of their location, equipment and company vehicles.
• Proficient computer skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

• Possess a valid driver's license clear of any major violations in the past 5 years.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry, climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
