Position Summary

• Seasonal position allows you to return to school or other activities in the Autumn.

• Part-time schedule (like M, W, F, or T, Th,) ensures you have full-days off work

during the summer to enjoy the beach, the mountains and friends and family
outside of work – true work-life balance!

• Full Time position available too!

• Work outside and not stuck in some office!

• Work as part of a team that is responsible for maintaining and improving site

grounds.

Essential Functions

• Operates powered hand tools such as weed eaters and hedgers to remove brush,

undergrowth, weeds, and other fire fuels from Tribal properties.

• Maintains Tribal recreational areas and trails through brush, undergrowth,

debris and weed removal.

• Assists in maintaining Tribal vegetable garden and surrounding area through

tilling, weeding, and general food/garden maintenance techniques.

• Performs minor maintenance repairs as requested on Tribal outbuildings, trails

and other structures to ensure safe use

• Promptly and thoroughly reviews all requested health and safety training

provided, asking questions for any topic not clearly understood

• Reads and adheres to all equipment safety instructions and manuals.

• Immediately reports any observed unsafe conditions, machines or equipment

• Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

• Maintains regular and predictable attendance

• Other duties as assigned
  

Pay, Schedule, Hours and Location:

• Pay rate - $25.75/hour

• Seasonal - Starting May 15 through 31 July

• Part-Time options available - Include with your résumé the days of the week

you would like to work! – meaning you choose the days of the week you would
like to work (subject to availability).

• Full-Time options available (30-40 hours per week)

• Paid rest and meal breaks to help your day go by quicker!

• Newcastle / (South) Auburn area – easy commute from Roseville, Rocklin,

Folsom, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

• High school diploma or equitant

• Some previous employment experience; landscape, forestry or other lands

management experience preferred
