JOB DESCRIPTION :Monday - Friday 2:00 P.M. – 10:30 P.M.
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment within the distribution center with a focus on batteries in the MHE equipment. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Clean all assigned areas in and outside of the warehouse by sweeping/mopping the floors and dusting all appliances and equipment.
- Empty trash receptacles.
- Maintain the cleanliness of exterior break areas and parking lots.
- Operate the scrubber to clean the floors.
- Pick up cardboard boxes and deliver to conveyor to be compacted.
- Use equipment to wash totes.
- Replenish paper towels, toilet tissue, and soap as needed.
- May be responsible for handling damaged and Hazardous waste collection and hazardous waste station maintenance in accordance with OSHA.
- Cleaning and maintaining restrooms.
- Shoveling snow from the sidewalks during winter months.
- Bending and lifting required (1 lb. to 50 lbs.)
- Reaching/Squatting/Twisting movement of body
- Stand for long hours.
- Work effectively with and / or independently of others while under time constraints
- Available to work overtime for special projects
