We are looking for a Visual Field Technician. Must have a positive attitude and be committed to providing exceptional patient service. Must be flexible to change as each patient requires different care. A Visual Field Technician is one who takes a special interest and has current knowledge of the problems that can cause visual field defects.

At Griffin & Reed Eye Care the Visual Field Technician is to perform the following job skills in a timely and efficient manner:

Escort patient to testing/exam rooms, review prior EMR chart notes to confirm the test(s) that have been ordered by the Physician, inform the patient of the purpose of the test, instruct the patient on how to perform the test, upload tests to EMR, auto lensometry, history taking, check visual acuity, check IOP with iCare and make sure that the necessary charting is done. The Visual Field Technician will also be responsible to perform OCT's and Fundus Photos, maintain and troubleshoot testing instruments as needed, maintenance of visual field schedule and order supplies for field analyzer.

In addition, the Visual Field Technician is required to read the section in the Home Study Course from JCAHPO regarding visual fields and glaucoma and is encouraged to complete the Home Study Course and pursue certification. The Visual Field Technician must remain flexible and eager to learn new techniques and skills.

The position is 3 days per week. Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. We can work with your schedule to determine which 3 days work best. No weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
