Job description

We are searching for a friendly team player to assist with phones/cleaning and with the Vet Technician/Assistants. We are a small, close-knit work environment where everyone does everything eventually, with a heavy emphasis on teaching. Vet work can be challenging, and we want to support each other as best we can.

We are open Monday-Friday, 7:30-12, 2-5, with Wednesday only 7:30-12. There will be no weekend or holiday hours required, and no opportunity for overtime.

Different duties include:

• Phones: Scheduling, answering phone questions, transcribing phone notes for the doctor, filing and cleaning
• Vet Assist: Holding pets for appointments, basic coding, filling medications, helping with stitch/staple removal, intaking pets for drop-off
• Reception: Greeting clients, money management, weighing and checking in pets, schedule keeping

Experience with:

• Veterinary knowledge is preferred
• Knowledge of Avimark is preferred
• Customer service experience is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

We are open door, where the clients can come in the building. We are also currently masks optional, although most of the staff are not wearing one. Covid vaccinations are not required.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Required)
