Veterinary Assistant (Part-Time)
Job description
Redmond-Kirkland Animal Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team!
Work Schedule:
- Wednesdays 7:45am-5:00pm
- Thursdays 7:45am-5:00pm
- Saturdays 7:45am-4:00pm
We believe in utilizing the skills you have achieved and enjoy seeing our veterinary assistants expand their knowledge moving forward. Applicants with a background in Vet Assistance, animal, or animal care will be a great fit for this role.
- Must have Washington State Medical Clerkâs license or be eligible
- Has strong client service skills
- Is proficient with animal handling & restraint
- Has a positive "can do" attitude
- Is able to work well on a team and is self-directed
- Is compassionate, motivated and dedicated
- Has strong problem-solving abilities (judgment, logic, creativity, conflict resolution).
- Has at least one year of experience as a veterinary assistant preferred, but not required
Responsibilities include: Venipuncture Catheter placement, Lab sample collection, Admitting and discharging patients, Monitoring hospitalized patients, Dispensing medications as directed by veterinarians, Assisting doctors in exam rooms, Assisting with surgical procedures, Client communications.
