Job description

Seeking professional and certified Umpires, Referees and Scorekeepers with a great attitude and the desire to improve the game. Someone who is both knowledgeable and passionate about sports. Ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail and an appreciation for teamwork. Looking to hire those to officiate adult intramural games in Basketball, Softball, Flag Football, Volleyball as well as officiating youth sports (T-ball, Coach-Pitch, Machine-Pitch, Baseball, Soccer & Flag Football).

Responsibilities:

• Reliable and Dependable
• Work with players and coaches in a sports environment.
• Make quick decisions and apply the rules of the game well.
• Attend all coaches meetings
• Able to interpret the rules of the game to coaches
• Communicate clearly with players and coaches.
• Keep statistics and verify their accuracy.
• Keep the game moving smoothly and enforce the rules of the game effectively.
• Be familiar with the rules of the sport you officiate and youth games too.
• Referees shall carry appropriate certification cards for the sport in which cards are issued.

Pay rate:

• Scorekeepers are paid at a starting rate of $15-$25 per game (rate is dependent upon the sport)
• Basketball Officials will be paid $45 per game
• Volleyball Officials will be paid $45 per game
• Flag Football Officials will be paid $45 per game
• Youth Soccer Officials will be paid $45 per game
• Umpires will be paid $45-$60 per game (rate is dependent upon the specific sport)
• There is no limit to the amount of games you choose to work, as long as your carry the appropriate certification. Referees shall carry appropriate certification cards for the sport in which cards are issued.

Pay: $15.00 - $70.00 per hour
