- Providing a safe and healthy environment after the school day for all students at no cost to students
- Enabling access to adults trained to build academic and non-academic skills within local communities
- Including themes and activities based in student interests and needs that are both academic and enriching
- Delivering targeted academic support aligned with individual student needs, high-quality curriculum and instruction, and the regular school day.
- High Quality Afterschool Program Management: Develop an approach to expand learning beyond the regular school day by integrating with cross-agency strategies such as high-quality instructional materials appropriate for out of school time programs, high intensity tutoring, and targeted intervention.
- Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO): Lead a group of appointed experts in developing statewide strategies, data collection methodologies, and required legislative reports to inform future policymaking.
- TCLAS Grant Management: Oversee the vision and planning for federal grant program that provides access to high-quality out of school time programs (afterschool, before school, and summer) across CCISD.
- TCLAS Afterschool Management: Design and implement processes for CCISD and program providers to address learning loss by implementing high quality afterschool programs.
- Vendor Management: Design and implement processes for CCISD and program providers to address learning loss by implementing high quality afterschool programs.
- Strong belief in the role afterschool programming should play in connecting regular day academics with extended time learning acceleration and enrichment
- Experience working in implementation and/or complex project management
- Relentless focus on improving quantitative and qualitative student outcomes

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will support the district and schools in maximizing the time students spend in learning environments with high quality curriculum and instruction through use of extra time –such as afterschool and summer programs. This position supports districts to optimize this learning time through expanded learning opportunities as well as supporting teachers with an effective use of classroom technology with blended learning. This division also drives awareness, strategic adoption, and continued high fidelity use of the High-Quality Instructional Materials, High-Impact Tutoring, and other statewide initiatives.
The position will engage with the district and school stakeholders to infuse the use of high-quality curriculum and instruction with more time using research-based practices to define what quality afterschool, extended year, and summer programming looks like and drives district strategic planning towards these key principles.
This position is responsible for driving the use of high-quality curriculum and instruction in afterschool programming across the district. This position will lead the implementation of TEA’s Texas COVID Learning Acceleration Supports (TCLAS) Afterschool grant opportunity in CCISD. The position will be the face of afterschool, managing broad stakeholder engagement with groups such as district and program providers, afterschool advocacy organizations, and critical vendor support.
This position reports to the Deputy Superintendent of Instructional Services and is responsible for developing and executing a strategy to support CCISD in the strong implementation of high-quality extended learning opportunities (ELO). High quality ELO increases student academic outcomes by:

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Share the belief that all students can achieve at high levels and are able to succeed in college, career, or the military.
Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, Masters degree preferred
Experience: At least two [2] years of experience in campus leadership, afterschool/summer program management, teaching experience (required)
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
