About the Role:

As a core member of our Transportation team, you will be expected to:

• Provide assistance to the Transportation Manager in the day-to-day functions of the department
• Coordinate in the process of soliciting and receiving truckloads for all inbound and outbound load activity
• Assist in arranging each truck with proper outbound and inbound delivery/pick-up points
• Maximize asset utilization including company drivers and equipment
• Promote excellent quality service with customers both internally and externally by responding to all inquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 2 years transportation/logistics experience
• Efficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Proficient in map reading
• Proficient knowledge of DOT Regulations and Hours of Service
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• High values and demonstrated abilities to influence others
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain high level of professionalism

Essential Duties:

• Provide assistance to the Transportation Manager in the day-to-day functions of the department
• Plan and coordinate work schedules to OTR, Line haul and Local drivers
• Coordinates and assists in the process of soliciting and receiving truckloads for all inbound and Out-bound load activity
• Resolve problems related to driver issues and customer concerns
• Collaborate with internal supply chain to effectively receive inbound raw and finished good materials to support our production schedule
• Monitor and analyze our telematics / dash cam system to identify near misses, on time performance and messages
• Track and Trace loads for updates to our outside freight customers
• The ability to be available 24/7, as needed
• Other duties and projects as required
