TRADES WORKER III

Trades – Public Buildings Division - Public Buildings/Waterfront Department –

This position will work in conjunction with other trades professionals to perform duties such as drywall hanging/patch/repair, painting, rough carpentry and wall layout within City-owned buildings. The position requires work around the waterfront on piers and wharves including the Islands. Working in inclement weather and heavy lifting is a requirement for this position. The applicant must possess a willingness to assist and learn different operations of the Public Buildings Division and a dedication to getting the job done in an effective and efficient manner.

Necessary Special Requirements: Successful candidate must possess a valid Class B driver's license in good standing; must undergo pre-employment fitness assessment and pass a federally mandated drug test; must pass a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) background check. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check. This position will participate in winter operations.

Labor & Trades Union position – Grade 20M-TW – Pay range starting at $922/week, with a generous benefits package.
