Store Room Attendant: Issues supplies and tools from tool room and maintains records of supplies issued and received. The attendant must be able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Issues and records, on appropriate forms, all tools and supplies drawn from tool room.
Cleans, inspects and tags tools for repairs as needed.
Conducts inventory checks as required.
Maintains tool room in a neat and orderly fashion with special attention to correct locations of items.
Prepares shipping memorandums and packages for shipment. Writes requisitions for non-inventoried items (tools, consumables, etc.) stored in tool room (primarily day shift).
Posts receivings, and is in charge of 1/6th inventory (primarily swing shift).
Charges out inventory items from daily charge-out sheets. Charges out direct charges from receivings as required (primarily graveyard shift).
SAFETY: Must have a complete knowledge and understanding of the plant safety rules including but not limited to the lockout-tagout procedure, chemical hazards and the hearing conservation program. Must have good personal hygiene and be able to practice safe work habits.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
One month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in English commensurate with the requirements of this position.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a lift truck operators' license.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Proficient with a data entry terminal. Ability to operate a 10 key calculator.
