Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder Athletics Department encourages applications for a Ticket Manager! This position will assist with ticket operations for the University of Colorado football home events and other athletic home events. The Ticket Manager will also contribute to the efforts of the ticketing office to provide phenomenal customer service and help resolve ticketing issues as they arise and will be adept in the Paciolan ticketing system.
Additionally, this position will serve as a lead liaison between the Athletic Ticket and Athletic Business Office concerning all concerts and non-team events. When concerts and non-team events occur, the Ticket Manager will own all activities related to concerts and external events including staffing, cash control, event management and enhancing third-party vendor relations to better scale, build, adjust and account for concerts and non-team events.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department’s Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac 12 Conference and the NCAA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Ticketing Operations and Managerial:
  • Attend all relevant meetings, discussions and conferences as the ticketing lead for concerts and non-athletic events.
  • Manage the hiring, training, scheduling and event supervision of all ticket personnel during non-athletic external events.
  • Prepare ticket window stations prior to box office opening for events to include logging into computers, providing adequate change for cash drawers, making changes to signage, etc. as related to external events.
  • Supervise the reconciliation of window sales receipts during events.
  • Ensure ticketing department delivers exceptional customer service to all guest and works proactively to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Keep current with all key ticketing trends in entertainment industry.
  • Create a positive and collaborative event day working environment and maintain event day staff morale.
Concert and External Event Management:
  • Develop strong working relationship with promoters, guest and affiliated partners. Act as the liaison between promoting entities, ticket service providers and athletic senior staff, ensuring that accurate information is disseminated, and events go on sale as intended for concerts and non-athletic events.
  • Build and maintain all events for concerts and non-team events using the ticketing system and the administration of all holds, seat kills, and other seat inventory as needed.
  • Process of internal/VIP ticket requests and all house ticket requests.
  • Assist promoter, talent buyers and tour personnel, as necessary, with event programming, reporting, ticket holders and other ticketing details.
  • Provide settlement documentation (including event sales audit, promoter settlement, complimentary ticket recap report, receivables report, and scanned ticket count) to the appropriate tour personnel and internal staff at the conclusion of the event to ensure accurate event settlement.
  • Create and distributes sales reports to promoters on an as-needed basis during on-sale through the run of the event.
Accounting/Financial:
  • Provide settlement documentation to the appropriate tour personnel and internal staff at the conclusion of the event to ensure accurate event settlement.
  • Actively participate in event settlement, as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining the budget for external events while offering the best service available.
  • Through continued research, looks for ways to proactively reduce risks associated with processing credit cards.
  • Research and provide all required documentation pertaining to credit card chargebacks.
  • Maintain accurate records detailing all activities involving cash within the ticket office.
  • Responsible for maintaining clean and organized vault area.

What You Should Know

  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include some nights, weekends and holidays. Occasional travel may be required to certain events.
  • This position works 100% on campus.

What We Can Offer

  • The salary range is $60,500 to $63,000 annually.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and skills may substitute.
  • Three years’ experience working ticket office with supervisory or lead responsibilities.
  • Experience using ticketing platforms such as Paciolan, Ticket Master, Tickets.com, AXS.
