At Life Counseling Institute, we can help you do just that. We're a private counseling practice with locations in Park Ridge and Willowbrook and offer outstanding clinical support; a friendly, collaborative team approach; and great training and professional development opportunities. We are seeking part- and full-time therapists to add to our team.

Our practice focuses on the needs of suburban men and women, couples, young adults, teens, and children and attracts highly educated, high-functioning clients who can benefit greatly from your skills.

We see clients with a variety of issues, but have particular expertise in counseling individuals with serious anxiety disorders, especially OCD; addressing postpartum issues and mom stress; providing counseling to children and teens; and helping couples improve their relationship.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Candidates should be proactive, skilled, attuned, and highly engaging with clients, with solid clinical judgment and decision-making ability.
• Experience in providing (or strong motivation to learn) evidence-based counseling to individuals within a solid framework or treatment approach.
• Private practice experience is preferred but not required
• A positive, optimistic attitude that embraces flexibility and change
• Top candidates are eager learners and willing to put in the time to learn new skills, through reading and attending regular trainings and consultations.
• Exceptional ability to be warm, active, and engaging with clients while also having solid clinical skills to guide clients toward change.
• Top candidates are experienced, fully licensed therapists interested in a career position focusing on clinical work, professional development opportunities, and the sense of community that comes from working with highly skilled, engaging therapists who work collaboratively, in a group practice environment.

Candidates should be willing to work a minimum of 2-3 evenings per week; daytime and weekend hours are also options for seeing clients depending on therapist background, skills, and interests.
