The Orange County Tax Administration Department has an opening for Temporary Land Records Technician. Under the general supervision of the Land Records/GIS Division Manager, an employee of this class is primarily responsible for assigning PIN numbers to land related documents, ensuring intake plats are certified and contain PIN pre-assignments and maintaining up-to-date real property owner information. Typical activities include assigning PIN numbers to all land related documents in preparation for recording with the Register of Deeds Office. An employee in this class will exercise independent judgment within the guidelines of established local government procedures, local ordinances and North Carolina General Statutes governing the responsibilities of local government fiscal operations. Does related work as required.

Paralegal certification required. Will accept applicants currently in school to obtain Paralegal certification.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED and

Must possess Microsoft Office products experience that include Excel, Access, Outlook and Powerpoint.
