Job Description: To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union financial needs in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner, both in person and on the phone.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Provides efficient, professional and friendly service to members.
  • Receives and processes member financial transactions including: process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and share drafts; sells money orders and cashier checks.
  • Processes loans, mortgages, credit card payments, and cash advances for members as directed.
  • Identifies cross sell opportunities and cross sells products and services to members to enhance their financial position.
  • Balances cash drawer and transactions daily; sells cash to vault to maintain approved cash limit.
  • Resolves member questions and concerns.
  • Answers phones.
  • Posts vault tickets and balances vault under dual control.
  • If appropriate, makes public announcements over the store's intercom to advertise loans, accounts, or any promotions that may be taking place.
  • Prospects with store customers by greeting and talking to them about Credit Union membership.

Experience: Six months or more cash handling experience and/or six months or more customer service experience required. Six months or more Teller experience preferred.

Education: A high school diploma or GED required.

Other Skills Required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including business writing ability.
  • Excellent time management skills, organization and accustomed to working with deadlines.
  • Must possess mathematical ability to preform very basic math skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and detailed oriented.
