Technical Support Specialist – WashCard Systems

WashCard Systems, a progressive, technology-driven company in Centerville, Minnesota, is seeking exceptional candidates for the full-time position of Technical Support Specialist for our proprietary web-centric hardware and software solutions. We are a US-based company that has been providing cashless payment technology solutions to the car wash industry since 1990, and everything, from engineering and assembly, to sales and support is done right here in Centerville.

Technical Support Specialists provide tier 1 worldwide support to our retail car wash operators and product distributors. We look forward to hiring and training someone to work closely with our hardware and software support team to solve complex customer issues. In addition, as a specialist, you would be assisting in testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and a variety of electronic components.

You need to know WHY something failed, not just how.

You're not going to throw something away just because it doesn't work. Your mechanical aptitude and curiosity require you to open it up and see if you can fix it first (and maybe even make it better). You’re the guy that finds the loose wire!

You are great on the phone and known for keeping your cool while assisting non-technical people (like your parents ;-) with diagnosis of hardware and software issues. You even talk them through the steps needed to resolve their issue.

You have an understanding of basic low-voltage electronic hardware either from formal training or a lifelong love of tinkering with electronics. You’ve probably installed your own hi-tech home thermostat!

You can't figure out why some people tailgate you on the highway, but you do know how to use a multi-meter and understand how to troubleshoot low voltage wiring.

You pick up technical skills quickly and enjoy learning new things.

If you don't know the answer, you know how to find it quickly which always surprises people around you.

You've probably built computers for friends and family members over the years. As a result, you have a working understanding of Microsoft Windows setup and troubleshooting… and a little bit of networking.

Our support hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Compensation package combines $21 - $25 hourly wages plus benefits depending on skills and experience.

Employee benefits include co-funded healthcare. There will be paid holidays off and earned vacation time, retirement benefits and travel reimbursement. A reverse commute from the Twin Cities is an added bonus. Candidates must live within 25 miles of Centerville Minnesota.
