RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Spicewood, TX that is seeking a Technical Lead Software Developer that will be the company's key software developer and leader responsible for all aspects of the launch of the company's SaaS-based solution. This company is a well-funded start-up focused on decarbonization through life cycle assessment of transportation fuels and petrochemicals.
The Technical Lead Software Developer will have a deep understanding of transactional products, while providing technical leadership leading the engineering and product organization through the launch of the company's solution.

Summary:
In this role, the Technical Lead Software Developer will be solely responsible for the development of a SaaS-based software solution from the ground up leveraging Agile, React, Node JS technologies. This role is approximately 70% coding and 30% leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong technology and execution background with experience delivering enterprise-scale high-quality SaaS-based technology solutions with a transactional and/or B2B customer-based platform. The Technical Lead Software Developer will work closely with the CEO and product management and design team leads to ensure alignment between business strategy, technology delivery and product rollout.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and code the company's first SaaS production application
  • Serve as a true partner to the product and design team along with other members of the management team, capable of contributing to the business strategy, determining solutions, and executing key strategic product priorities
  • Provide critical leadership in leading the company's engineering execution, and delivery to the market
  • Build an engineering team with talent that has the business acumen, technical capability, and hunger to deliver a world-class product with immense growth potential
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree in Computer Science is highly desired
  • Highly entrepreneurial and have a proven track record of success and experience in fast-paced settings
  • Experience scaling results-driven, high- performing, cross-functional technology teams while fostering an environment that enables innovation and creativity
  • Demonstrated success in delivering products to market that are customer-centric, cutting edge, and have proven business value
  • Strength within both NodeJS and React in a cloud-based environment
  • Experience with AWS, Python and Postgres is a plus
  • Experience launching a product from the ground up, picking the technology stack
  • Demonstrated strength managing and developing SaaS products and engineering organizations
  • Proven ability to effect change and lead an organization through substantial growth
  • Passion for picking widely used stable technology and market trends to create a foundation for disruptive technology and product roadmaps
  • Thrives in a fast-paced team environment, where people relationships are important; Ability to manage ambiguity, if it occurs, is essential
  • Proven record of launching innovations that positively impact customers
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate between strategic business decisions and their quantitative implications
  • Demonstrated results in end-to-end technology product management (vision, strategy, roadmap creation and execution), primarily with Full Stack applications in NodeJS and React
  • Proven ability to quickly gain trust, negotiate business objectives, have constructive debate, and work directly with senior leaders, both internally and externally
  • Ability to drive problem solving from an abstract high level as well as from deep in the details
  • A true self-starter that can quickly and independently assesses business requirements and become a trusted and integral part of the executive team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
