Responsibilities for Team Leader
- Continue to perform quality diagnostic MRI scans.
- Compile performance measures to assure patient and customer satisfaction results, clinical benchmarks, and operational targets are maintained.
- Meet with other Team Leaders to shares ideas and to support each other; essentially creating a strong team between departments and locations.
- Mentor staff through demonstration of techniques, coordination of learning experiences and direction of staff to appropriate written resources.
- Works directly with newly assigned personnel and/or ensuring that the precepting and orientation experience is successful.
- Works with director on development of team skills within the section evidenced by the growth of the section towards teams.
- Manages, leads, coaches and supervises in the moment using policies and procedures as a guide.
- Assists in the recruitment of new staff.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of radiology standards and procedures as they relate to MRI normally acquired through graduation of an approved radiology school, an Associate’s Degree in Radiology, or sufficient on the job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification requirements.
- A minimum of two year of clinical experience as an Advanced MR Technologist necessary to enhance and develop skills, with previous supervisory experience beneficial.
- Possesses and maintains certification in MRI with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT (MR).
- Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
