Findlay City Schools seeks a qualified individual to join the Teaching and Learning Team. The Teaching and Learning Specialist will elevate academic excellence, diverse opportunities, and true belonging for all students by teaming with teachers and administrators to provide instructional leadership.

• Valid Ohio Certificate/License
• Master’s degree or higher, along with training in curriculum and instruction
• Successful teaching experience and a thorough knowledge of content areas, curriculum, staff development processes, instructional technology, and evidence-based teaching practices.

• Assist with the development and implementation of the school district’s written, taught, and assessed curriculum in accordance with FCS goals and objectives and Ohio’s Learning Standards.
• Lead the coordination, creation, and delivery of professional development for certified staff members.
• Assist in the coordination of selecting and implementing high-quality instructional materials.
• Collaborate with administrators and educators to collect, analyze, and utilize data to guide instructional decisions.
• Utilize knowledge of the Ohio Improvement Process (DLT, BLT, and TBT) structures to facilitate and provide feedback and support to collaborative teams.
• Facilitate the investigation of current research regarding trends and best practices to support appropriate recommendations for student success through rigorous, innovative, and technological programming.
• Evaluate and analyze program results to improve instruction and student achievement in the district.
