We are looking for a System Administrator to Join our team of devoted caregivers. You will play a vital role in the IT unit, supporting the ambulatory pharmacies, inpatient pharmacies, and projects that will work towards bettering the day-to-day life in the clinic. Your primary duties will include:
  • Managing servers and workstations to keep them running at high performance.
  • Providing input for computing standards.
  • Evaluating and troubleshooting hardware and software products.

This position is primarily at Main Campus and will offer remote opportunities 1-2 days per week. Caregivers will also have work at the Cleveland Clinic Administrative campus as well as some ambulatory pharmacies across northeast Ohio

The Systems Administrator II position primarily supports Cleveland Clinic ambulatory and hospital pharmacies in Ohio and Florida. The position will support a variety of technologies ranging from PCs, printers and peripherals, to automated prescriptions filling stations, robotics and several software applications. The position will also troubleshoot some cybersecurity related vulnerabilities in our systems as the arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Consults on desktop applications and configurations to improve employee productivity.
  • Troubleshoots software, hardware, network protocols, workstation and departmental server-related problems.
  • Provides second level diagnostic Help Desk support for hardware, software and operating systems.
  • Acts as primary contact for ongoing support requirements including all hardware components.
  • Coordinates workstation purchase decisions based on enterprise standards.
  • Recommends, designs, builds and supports PC workstations.
  • Builds and maintains detailed workstation documentation including configuration of desktop software and impact of additions, deletions or upgrades to the workstation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Certifications:

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date.

Complexity of Work:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of information systems and small to mid-size (100-700 node) networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities, interact with all levels of internal and external personnel and excellent customer service.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum two years information systems experience.
  • Mid-size workstations support experience and server environment is required.
  • Experience with personal computer architecture, interface components and telephone systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software application issues
  • Experience with PCs, laptops, iPads
  • Cybersecurity knowledge

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • In some locations, ability to move up to 50 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
