POSITION: Survey Crew Chief – Land Development - Full Time

LOCATION: Dallas, Tx

Position Overview:

USA Professional Services Group has been in business since 1982. We are looking for a career-minded, experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our team. This role supports the survey manager and survey team in a wide variety of land surveying projects.

Responsibilities:

• Gather project information.
• Check that project information is adequate to complete the project productively before beginning the job
• Direct the crew to complete jobs efficiently and effectively
• Use knowledge through experience to collect pertinent field information needed for project development
• Ensure that sketches, field book notes, and data is complete and turned in
• Responsible for performing accurate and complete field work
• Reviewing plans, construction staking and checking for mistakes
• Ensure the quality of the work performed meets the needs of the engineering department, the contractor, and the client
• Ensure safety equipment is used when necessary
• Lead by example to promote morale
• Instruct the crew in professional field practices
• Communicate with the office and other USA departments for effective and efficient job productivity and high-quality performance
• Communicate with engineers, contractors, and developers for effective and efficient job productivity and high-quality performance

Required:

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 4 years’ experience of construction staking
• Knowledge and understanding of boundary surveying
• Knowledge of topographical surveys
