Job Title: Supply Manager

Department: Base Operations and Maintenance

Job Summary:

This position shall be responsible for the contractors supply management program and ensure it meets contract requirements. The Supply Manager will direct materiel management activities involved in developing, operating, implementing, and analyzing manual and automated integrated logistics systems to support various Air Force systems, while simultaneously providing customer service to mission support activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department and contingency operations
  • Assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Shall review existing and/or draft new OPLANS for which Material Management is the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR)
  • Be on-site during the Government's regular working hours
  • Solicitsts material cost proposals for various projects

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Drives the operational agility required to support Air Force missions
  • Manages a portfolio of items through monitoring and operating the Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S) and associated logistics systems interfaces
  • Manages materiel management activities and systems involved in stocking, sorting, issuing, and inspection/management of DoD supplies and equipment
  • Provides Base Supply Services to include the management of equipment and individual equipment; the management of supplies containing hazardous materials; the operation of standard Air Force Information Systems related to supply services; contingency, mobility, and related services
  • Accurately forecast requirements, identify supply sources, schedule deliveries, warehouse, identify and transfer assets
  • Enable organizations, provides materiel management expertise as related to ILS-S processes, accountable officer, responsible officer, and responsible person obligations

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient written and oral communication skills according to skill requirements
  • Possess strong computer skills, able to read, write, and comprehend written instructional documents in English
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • B.A. in Logistics Management or equivalent desired
  • At least two years of related experience required
  • Must have worked in an Air Force Materiel Management activity for at least five years or equivalent
  • Understanding of transportation operation, deployment, and receptions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Prolonged period of standing, bending, reaching, and working with hands
  • Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to loud noises
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds at times
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands as necessary
  • Ability to hear and see to position and safety requirement levels
  • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals

Special Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government's background investigation
  • Valid state driver's license
