Summer Helper - Temp

Under general supervision and according to specified policies and procedures, performs general cleanup and material handing duties. May assist with work using more specialized skills under the guidance of others. Complies with all applicable safety policies and regulations.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs general clean-up and plant grooming duties using a shovel, broom, chipping hammer, pavement breaker and other assorted hand tools.
• Performs cleaning of plant equipment, buildings, properties and grounds; including the following but not limited to: building floors, belt conveyors, and other equipment.
• Fill in as needed and performs other duties as assigned by the session project manager. Ability to operate a shovel, wheelbarrow, forklift, bobcat, pickup truck, jackhammer, weed eater, hand power tools, etc. to perform job duties. Ability to read and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Possess good communication skills.

Work Environment

Work involves walking over rough surfaces, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, bending and pushing, pulling, working in awkward positions and in confined spaces, and lifting materials up to 60 lbs. Frequent exposure to dust, loud noise, heat, dirt, high elevations, and all weather conditions.

Passing a post offer drug screen and physical abilities test is required to start.

Essential Eligibility Requirements

For consideration: Must have High School diploma or GED and be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to show proof of acceptance to an accredited 4-year, 2-year or technical institution.
