Description:

Produce quality radiographs on simple routine exams with minimal supervision

Maintain infection control procedures and safety procedures according to departmental policy

Understand the work flow including the responsibilities for pre- and post-exam duties

Performs all general duties as instructed by staff technologists and supervisors, particularly assisting with exams

Maintains adherence to hospital wide standards of performance

Must be familiar with most routine exams

Must be able to follow instructions in order to effectively assist the technologist with difficult patients

Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, patients, and other hospital employees

Requires good eyesight, manual dexterity, able to perform under pressure, assists patients, lifting, pulling, stooping, bending, etc.

Education/Experience:

A student in good standing at
Southwest Georgia Technical College, and is maintaining satisfactory grades

Must have shown initiative and satisfactory clinical skills during the clinical assignments at Southwest Georgia Technical College
