Store Manager Job Description:
The Store Manager leads the store's overall operations, customer experience, sales performance, and execution of brand excellence. The Store Manager is accountable for maximizing store sales and profits while providing exceptional levels of customer service and product quality.
Additionally, the Store Manager is responsible for providing leadership to team members and maintain strong business relationships within the local community.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Effectively lead a team to achieve and exceed sales and profitability goals
- Lead the execution of exceptional operational practices while striving to exceed sales and service goals and objectives
- Contribute to the overall operational effectiveness of the store, including proper cash handling procedures, following all food and safety procedures and compliance with all policies
- Recruit, hire, lead, and develop team members; Create a culture of energy, enthusiasm, achievement, professionalism, and fun to retain staff and keep them engaged
- Provide training, coaching, and development for team members to lead them in overall sales achievement while providing an outstanding customer experience and maintaining profitability goals
- Ensures store has adequate shift coverage all times, while adhering to scheduling and labor guidelines
- Clearly and concisely communicate current performance levels and expectations to team members
- Monitor and analyze performance against the key performance indexes
- Adjust sales tactics as necessary to meet sales targets
- Identify key processes improvements to support revenue growth and exceptional customer experience
- Effectively communicate changes in business to team members
- Manage perishable and non‐perishable inventory
- Utilize strong decision‐making skills to successfully solve customer issues
- Maintain a marketing plan that supports corporate initiatives and establish a local marketing plan that is pertinent to your market
- Ensure local community involvement to establish Edible® in your market, support community initiatives and develop awareness of Edible® products
- Uphold state, local, and brand food handling and safety requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of Edible® products, procedures, and brand messaging
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Adhere to all financial and human resources responsibilities in accordance with Midtown Ventures, LLC policies and standards
- Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and integrity by consistently adhering to company’s policies and procedures, serving as an example of effective leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2‐4 years retail sales management experience
- High School degree
- College degree preferred, but not required
- Ability to manage store operations independently and effectively in a fast‐paced environment
- Ability to successfully multi‐task in a fast‐paced environment
- Must have proven ability to motivate employees to meet sales goals
- Strong team building, performance management and leadership skills with ability to mentor others
- Desire to achieve and exceed sales, service, and profitability goals
- Consistently demonstrates high energy and passion in a sales environment
- Self‐motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with Midtown Ventures, LLC
- Ability to solve problems while exhibiting good judgment with realistic understanding of issues
- Positive attitude and enjoys developing team members
- Proven customer service, Organization, and planning skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Good math and money handling skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft software and register skills
- Ability to lift, carry and/or push objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through‐out assigned shift
- Valid State Driver’s License and a clean driving record
