Job description

Jack Taylor, a Brooklyn-based PR & Communications agency, is seeking a part-time stockroom associate to help manage its inbound and outbound shipments and product inventory. The agency regularly stores and ships product on behalf of our client partners, requiring a well-maintained (small) stockroom.

Job Responsibilities

• Organize all outbound shipments (packages and parcels) for agency {daily, approximately 5-10 packages per day}
• Create and print shipping labels (all information provided by team)
• Neatly package and label items for delivery
• Craft handwritten notes when necessary
• Inspect each package for correct items and labels (perform quality control)
• Log package size in agency product tracker
• Coordinate regular messenger pickup and deliveries {1-2 times per week}
• Receive and organize inbound shipments to ensure agency office stays tidy and presentable {daily, number of packages varies}
• Unbox, organize, and display inbound shipment contents {daily, as needed}
• Maintain stockroom shelves and inventory {stockroom is approximately 10’ x 10’ space with 2500 items varying in size}
• Order and maintain shipping equipment and supplies
• Take regular inventory of product in stockroom and report to agency client teams
• Perform other duties as required
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Details & Qualifications

• 2+ years of office experience preferred
• Capable of commuting 5 days per week to Dumbo location
• References required
• Part-time with hourly wage of $17.50 per hour
• Expect 10-15 hours per week, to be re-evaluated regularly
• Flexible on daily schedule, though coordinating around daily pick-ups and deliveries would be preferred
• Agency team is in the office Tues, Wed, Thurs

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
