Job description
Under the direction of the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) Director, supervises and directs daily and departmental operations and services of Registered Student Organization (RSO) and administrative oversight of campus RSO reservations,, RSO registration and administration. Including oversight of the administrative core functions of RSO grants, policy interpretation and implementation, risk management, community and leadership development, problem-solving, crisis intervention, mediation, and referral.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Stand, walk and move about long distances on the extensive campus grounds and building facilities at various events.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Travel to and from meeting venues and client sites on and off campus.
- Due to the services provided by this department, this position may work hours other than M-F 8-5, especially during special events, or in response to system problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Work experience in the field of Student Affairs, leadership development, program management, and student organization advising.
- Experience to recruit, select, train, supervise, and evaluate employees.
- Experience applying student development theory and issues for college students in appropriate support, actions, and programs.
- Experience in leadership development, program management and advising college students and student organizations.
- Experience with University policies and local, state and federal regulations governing activities of students and student organizations.
- Experience working with and supporting diverse communities that demonstrate cultural awareness.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
- Skill to make independent judgments and exercise discretionary authority in the administration of campus policy. Demonstrated ability and political acumen to represent University positively in difficult and controversial matters and effectively interact with students, faculty, staff, parents, local community, media and the general public.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Experience facilitating appropriate data collection for departmental assessment and evaluation efforts using current technology and methods.
- Experience in overseeing budgets and prioritizing the use of funds.
- Experience analyzing and coordinating successful interface of technology support and delivery of services.
- Experience recruiting, training and supervising students and or professional staff in student organizations and student engagement.
- Demonstrated experience of First Amendment rights and responsibilities and freedom of expression issues on college campuses.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
- Strong skills in listening, communicating with diverse audiences, problem solving, working collaboratively as part of a team, mediation, diplomacy, conflict resolution and confronting unacceptable behavior.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural humility; understanding of social justice, the dynamics of power and privilege, and social identities (e.g., sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race, class, ethnicity, ability, religion, socioeconomic background, immigration status, size, and other identities) and experience working with diverse student populations.
- Ability to utilize software management system to facilitate day-to-day department and student organization operations.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment while delivering high quality work.
- Knowledge of principles of risk management as they pertain to student activities and public events.
- Ability to model Principles of Community and promote cross cultural awareness to student organizations, employees and student boards.
- Computer skills to use software such as Microsoft office, Word Press, DaFIS Decision Support, CEMS
