Steritec Products, Inc., a member of the Getinge, manufactures sterilization and cleaning medical device consumables using ink technology. We manufacture and print highly specialized proprietary inks that undergo specific color changes when exposed to different sterilization conditions in hospital and industrial/pharmaceutical sterilizers.


Located in the beautiful Inverness Business Park, SteriTec Products, Inc., offers a generous benefit package (including access to health insurance, time off accruals and 401k participation - day of hire), a robust PTO program and fully supports the "work/life balance" philosophy.


This is an on-site role and will require a signed Getinge Protective Covenant Agreement, due to our FDA and ISO product catelogue.


This position is on-site in Englewood, Colorado.

Salary: 140,000+ (based on experience) w/ potential 25% bonus (based on company performance)


Job
Overview

Oversee and lead SteriTec Operations with functional responsibilities for source of material and services, procurement of materials and services, manufacturing and material planning, production, warehouse activities and logistics.

This role has responsibility to set direction and lead operations to achieve business growth and financial performance metrics. This position is also responsible for planning for future supply chain, procurement, and operational needs as well as driving optimization efforts along lean manufacturing principals.

As a member of these leadership teams, this individual will have responsibility for setting strategies, defining performance, evaluating and developing impact team members, and nurturing the SteriTec culture.


Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • The Getinge Manufacturing Excellence program offers guiding principles, tools, methodologies and coaching to formulate the lean manufacturing strategies that best serve the SteriTec operation. This position will be heavily involved in developing and deploying the Manufacturing Excellence initiative for the site.

  • Manage directly or through assigned managers all activities associated with sourcing, purchasing, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics for SteriTec including contract negotiations, planning/scheduling, and future growth strategies.

  • Ensure department quality system requirements are effectively established and maintained in accordance with QSR, ISO and internal requirements.

  • Participate in formulating and administering departmental policy, near-term goals, long-range goals/strategies, and employee objectives to align with business growth plans.

  • Establish performance metrics to evaluate how well each functional area is performing relative to overall business metrics and financial goals.

  • Establish, negotiate and manage key supplier relationships to align with business cost and growth plans.

  • Evaluate and drive improvements in production and procurement work streams for efficiency improvements for best utilization of labor, material, facilities, and overall cost.

  • Mature process, tools, and systems to better serve the needs of the business and provide greater insight to operational performance.

  • Mature supply base, supplier strategies, and supplier management process to best serve SteriTec’s business requirements, both existing products and future products in development.

  • Develop team members in each functional area to enhance skill sets and strengthen understandings to have a greater impact in their role.

  • Develop and nurture the SteriTec culture by actively managing and demonstrating HOW we do work in our learning environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Industrial Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated leadership experience.

  • Must have work experience in a highly regulated industry; medical device experience and knowledge of FDA/GMP requirements preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills developing and leading a team of both direct and indirect reports.
  • Strong organizational skills necessary to handle a variety of tasks.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Interpersonal management and leadership skills required for training, developing and leading all members of the operations organization.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • In-depth technical knowledge in the area of medical device manufacturing.
  • Experience in developing and implementing yearly operational business plans in line with Divisional objectives.
  • Ability to effectively deal with a variety of conflicting issues and diplomatically solve those issues.

  • Must practice verbatim compliance (exact compliance, no interpretation) with corporate Quality and Regulatory procedures (As applicable to your job function).
  • If your job description requires customer-facing activities, you must thoroughly understand and comply with the Customer complaint reporting process and complaint procedures (As applicable to your job function).
  • Must be able to promptly report any non-compliance issues to Director QA, RA, Compliance officer or appropriate administrator, including the Compliance Hotline.
  • Must be competent with 21 CFR 820 and any other applicable federal regulations, and Quality standards (As applicable to your job function).


Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions:
  • Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions.
  • Duties are mainly performed in an office environment.
  • Duties may be required to be performed in a controlled environment following specific gowning procedures.
  • May work extended hours during peak business cycles.
  • The individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to utilize computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit.
  • The employee must have use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear.

Supervision/Management of Others:

  • Purchasing Manager, Operations Manager, and their associated reporting structures will report to this position.


Internal and External Contacts/Relationships:

  • Internal: Team members (including contractors), all Getinge colleagues including the executive and leadership team, Operations, Finance, Purchasing, Quality, R&D, Product Management, Legal, Logistics and Inventory Control teams. Follow up with all levels of management for clarification/approval on reports as needed. This position has dual reporting lines as part of a matrix structure, with both functional accountability and business unit accountability.


  • External: Contractors, consultants, vendors, 3rd party providers, etc.
