We are actively expanding our central team to support Principal Investigators (PIs) and research study teams who are focused on mission-critical clinical trials programs. This role will be a key member of the Clinical Research Support (CRS) team supporting financial management of studies in the Oncology portfolio.
The CRS Sr. Clinical Trial Financial Management Analyst is primarily responsible for designing workflows and performing post award management activities for an assigned portfolio of clinical trials. Responsibilities will include:
- For identified studies, helping ensure study budget is accurate and ready for sponsor invoicing.
- Carefully coordinate with start-up team to thoroughly understand budget, and develop plan for invoicing
- Review and support study team members in timely visit tracking activities that support sponsor invoicing
- Generate sponsor invoices timely and help ensure accurate tracking and reporting is available for each study
- Review Epic invoices, utilize tools such as OnCore Vendor Payables, Epic tracking etc., to help ensure invoices to study budgets are accurate. Work with study team to correct upfront workflow issues if they are identified. Coordinate with billing offices on billing issues if they are identified
- Review invoices from other areas such as central shared services, utilize tools such as OnCore to help ensure invoices are accurate.
- Produce reports of overall study receipts and spend to present updates to managers; develop QC checks to ensure issues are identified early
- Document lessons learned and improvement opportunities
- Define a plan for standardized post award operational management that can be used to scale the function across the full portfolio
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification or experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial operations preferably clinical trial financial operations
- Keen attention to detail, and consistent ability to perform financial management functions in a high-quality manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customer teams
- Experience working with clinical trial management systems, financial systems, and Epic billing functions
- Excellent computer skills including ability to use tools such as Excel effectively for tracking and reporting
- Experience performing sponsor invoicing activities utilizing OnCore or another CTMS system
- Experience performing financial management activities at a research institute preferably a cancer center
