PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The Global Manufacturing Analyst is a key member of the Composites Manufacturing Finance leadership team. The successful candidate will partner with Plant Controllers, Operations, FP&A, Sourcing, and the Supply Chain organizations to provide in-depth financial analytics to support sound decision making for strategic and operating plans as well as near-term financial forecasts. This role is the key point of contact within the Manufacturing Finance Leader network accountable for delivering accurate and timely management reporting while driving the Composites productivity agenda and linking financial results to operational performance drivers. The position interfaces with internal customers and stakeholders inside Composites and corporate functions to drive continuous improvement of deliverables and processes supporting these customers. The position is an important part of the financial talent pipeline and serves as a feeder position for finance roles of increased scope and accountability.

Reports to: Director of Global Manufacturing Finance for Composites.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Business planning and Forecasting

  • Maintain a clear tone regarding business conduct, ethics, the law and financial controls.
  • Collaborate across the business to develop and maintain financial models and consolidation tools to support operating plans and forecasts.
  • Ensure integrity and quality of financial and statistical data.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and bridge gaps in forecasting, planning and financial modeling.
  • Partner with Global Manufacturing Finance Leaders and FP&A to ensure timely and accurate consolidation of operating and strategic plans including assumptions on demand, productions, cost, capacity utilization etc.


Reporting and analysis

  • Report out on near and long-terms story of the business at all levels of the organization.
  • Participate in the S&OP process by providing financial analysis and recommendation to the Supply Chain Leader with regards to demand/supply decisions (curtailments, expansions).
  • Monitor the closing process in close collaboration with accounting team.
  • Support the execution of manufacturing month-end closing.

Analyze Manufacturing Productivity for Composites

  • Design, develop, improve, and maintain tools to track and analyze productivity across Composites manufacturing sites and evaluate productivity.
  • Analyze productivity, understand its drivers, and initiate actions to impact business results.
  • Provide risk analysis and mitigation planning.
  • Provides in depth analysis and reconciliation of variances to plan and forecast.


Lead development and enhancement of analytical capabilities globally

  • Become a BI super-user through training, teaching technical capabilities across manufacturing finance, and building strong relationships with BI Systems Team, FP&A and manufacturing.
  • Leverage SAP and BI to create simpler, more efficient reporting; support MI and BI working teams by improving reporting tools with the intent of driving manufacturing simplification.


Projects

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and project work in support of the manufacturing organization. Examples of projects include but are not limited to capital productivity projects, rebuilds, technology, infrastructure, and curtailment/expansion analysis to support supply and financial planning.
  • May serve as interim Plant Controller when there is turnover within the Americas manufacturing organization.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in Corporate or Business Finance, FP&A, of Manufacturing Finance.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
:

  • Advance degree, CPA, or MBA.
  • Professional finance support of multi-national manufacturing corporation.
  • Experience leading/supporting operations planning, savings, forecasting, and investment analysis.
  • Solid understanding of financial measures (e.g. NPV, TARR, RONA, Payback, WACC, Cash Flow)
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Power BI and BPC
