The Account Executive position is an outside business to business sale role. In this position, you will work with one of our strategic Bank partners to develop market strategies to drive revenue growth for the portfolio and your aligned Bank partner. You will work with small and medium-sized business owners to help grow their business and solving business objectives through accepting payments while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities
You will be representing the world’s largest payments provider, primarily through leads generated from your Bank partner in the assigned territory. Daily you will be inside bank locations spending time with branch managers, business bankers and staff to develop solid relationships that will lead to increased revenue and referrals. You will also set appointments with small-to-medium-sized business owners to educate them on Worldpay products and services relating to payments.
- Sell Worldpay products and services to new merchant customers in assigned territory.
- Build relationships with Branch and Business Banking employees by actively participating in Bank meetings, huddles, and providing education on payments.
- Manage and develop assigned territory to increase referrals to Worldpay that results in new customers for the partnership.
- Represent Worldpay as a trusted advisor to our Bank partners, prospects, and customers.
- Understands customers payments needs and presents product solutions that best accommodates the customer.
- Identify new prospects and revenue opportunities for merchant services through Bank referrals, lead lists, referrals from current merchants and self-sourcing.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of products, value added services, industry trends, and recommend additional products and services to compliment and achieve the businesses objectives.
- Utilize available resources to ensure merchant is properly set-up on the Worldpay platform, processing transactions and is initially billed according to agreement
- Respond promptly to Bank and prospect inquiries and requests, and prepare proposals, letters and presentations utilizing Worldpay resources
- Provide manager with market updates for assigned territory and keep pipeline updated in Salesforce.
- Strong Negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Problem solving skills required.
Qualifications
- A 2+ year proven history of business-to-business sales success and relationship expertise.
- Merchant selling experience is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills, as well as analytical skills to determine client’s business requirements
- Sense of accountability and sense of urgency to achieve goals and commitment to driving sales results.
- Demonstrate ability to build relationships with internal partners, bank partners and customers.
- Salesforce experience preferred.
- Available to travel for coverage market is required
