We have an outpatient physical therapy clinic in North Austin which is highly centered around 1-to-1 care with emphasis on manual therapy. We also partner with home health companies to provide therapy services to seniors in their homes and in independent living facilities.

NFT is a small 100% Therapist Owned company that is continuing to grow while maintaining a family feel. ABOUT THIS POSITION:

We are currently looking for skilled mobile Speech Language Pathologists to provide speech therapy services to adults 50+ in their private homes and within independent living facilities that partner with Natural Fit Therapy.

This position is for someone that loves working with older adults to stay healthy, active and independent. Our Speech and Language Pathologist will identify and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, improve patient’s communication skills through vocal exercises and cognitive therapies, and select alternative communication systems and teach their use as appropriate.

This position would work closely with the entire interdisciplinary team, including Nursing, PT/PTAs, and OTs to provide high quality care to our patients.

Home Health experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Optimizes communication, cognitive and swallowing skills of patients by performing or supervising therapy staff in initiating referrals; evaluating and treating appropriate patients; participating in the care planning process; documenting progress toward identified priorities and communicating patient status and needs to the patient, the patient’s family, the staff and rehab team as appropriate.

• Develops treatment plans by identifying a problem list, including long and short-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals. Confers with other team members in coordinating the total rehabilitation program of the patient.

• Coordinates treatment plan with patient, family and other team members. Implements and conducts treatment as outlined in the treatment plan.

• Monitors patient’s response to intervention and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician’s orders. Adapts treatment to meet the personal needs of the patient.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) therapy program

• License to practice speech language pathology within the state

• Certification in LSVT LOUD® or SPEAK OUT! Programs are a plus

• Reliable transportation and proof of valid automobile liability insurance. Must have valid driver’s license.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
