SCHEDULE: 4 days a week Monday-Friday (flexible) from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with weekend call rotation


RESPONSIBILITIES
:


Performs routine and complex Speech Language Pathology tasks including tasks of moderate to high complexity for hospital patients.


Performs other assigned routine to high complexity tasks in the rehabilitation and other hospital departments and in additional areas owned by the Hospital, on site and off site.


Utilizes therapeutic techniques and modalities to provide direct patient care; uses a variety of techniques in applying treatment. Ensures quality of care and initiates treatment promptly; coordinates care with other disciplines.


Provides appropriate services to meet the needs of the department's customers as requested including but not limited to effective and consistent communication and the documentation of accurate and timely information.


Participates in Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance activities as determined by the hospital including hospital operations improvement.


Independently performs quality control/customer satisfaction procedures, documents results, and investigates and resolves issues, with appropriate supervisory notification of activity.


Evaluates current practices and makes appropriate suggestions to improve productivity and enhance expense reduction; assists in the evaluation of new procedures, equipment; monitors the purchasing of supplies and inventory control.


Provides technical guidance for customers as it relates to Speech Language Pathology procedures and operations.
