Job description

We are looking for a skilled small engine technician with experience working with a variety of outdoor landscaping and industrial equipment. Knowledge with gas and Diesel engines is a must, as well as a strong ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Able to properly diagnose, troubleshoot and repair a variety of small Gas & Diesel engines and Outdoor Power Equipment. Knowledge with electrical systems troubleshooting and engine failure is preferred
• Experience with 4-Cycle equipment such as lawn mowers, lawn tractors, zero turn mowers, generators, pressure washers, air compressors and similar equipment (1 yr. minimum experience)
• Experience with engine manufacturers such as Honda, Kawasaki, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, and Subaru Robin (1 yr. minimum experience)
• Perform basic repairs, maintenance, tune-ups, as well as major repair such as shortblocks, engine replacements, and hydraulic transaxle/pump repair
• Help customers unload and load equipment. Unload orders from truck shipments if needed. Experience with Forklift preferred, but not required
• Maintain a clean shop area. We’ll have certain tools, but will need to supply own tools
• Work hand-in-hand & assist other technicians when needed

Skills

• At least 1 year experience working specifically with small engines, not automotive
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical systems troubleshooting
• Able to use a computer to look up parts diagrams
• Problem-solving ability & critical thinking
• Physical strength, will be lifting heavy parts, or moving machines
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
