Book printing company is seeking experienced Silk Screen offset (sheet-fed) pressmen on a 40" wide press.

Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

Manage the supply and proper feeding of paper to the press to maintain quality, efficiency, production requirements and waste reduction initiatives per company standards.

Essential Tasks:

• Insure that the paper stock being used coincides with the specifications for each particular job or run.
• Install or position paper on the press.
• Scan the bar-coded LBM paper tags and deliver tags to press operator.
• Perform set-up and adjustments to the feeder to achieve maximum press productivity with minimal waste
• Monitor proper ink levels in fountains
• Compare printed sheets during production runs with supplied digital samples
• Insures ample supply of job-related chemicals at the press
• Flag and move finished loads to designated staging area
• Work flexible hours as needed.
• Comply with all company rules and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by silkscreen manager.

Physical/Intellectual Requirements - must be able to:

• stand for extended periods.
• occasionally sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach or kneel as required.
• hear warning bells, buzzers, announcements and other job and/or safety related sounds
• occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• move rolls or loads as required either manually or with motorized or mechanical devices
• read and comprehend all related job documents including job tickets
• occasionally use hand tools
