Pomponio Ranch South is a beautifully manicured and professional farm in San Diego County, which currently consists of top-notch performance horses and highly skilled experienced grooms and is home to one the Nation’s top riders, Karl Cook. We need a stellar & cheerful person to lead and guide this incredible team of grooms & stall cleaners to the highest level of performance.

Primary responsibilities include strong management of the entire team, including establishing, maintaining, and ensuring a high level of morale, health, and productivity for both staff, horses, and riders! You’ll be overseeing the whole travel team operation, including the barn, finances, logistics for riders, staff, & horses, and anything and everything related to the above. Your love of travel is critical to your success, as it is required to be a core part of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively and efficiently manage PRS travel team by establishing and maintaining a high level of morale, productivity, and communication
• Manage and approve payroll, monies & expenses in partnership with PR Controller
• Develop, implement, and manage team training, social media and safety programs
• Responsible for team logistics by managing all show-related tasks, including PRS team, Horse and Equipment travel
• Assist Barn Manager with managing all horse records and registrations, paperwork, and show requirements
• Oversee Horse records software containing updated vaccines, medications, and supplements by working with vets and grooms to keep it updated

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Management experience and at least 5 years’ experience in similar role
• Knowledge and background in the Equine industry (2-3 years preferred)
• Knowledge of Google suite and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong commitment to teamwork
• Work effectively with minimal supervision; self-motivated and self-starter
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Ability to travel a significant amount of the year for shows (~ 40+ weeks per year)
• Must have proof of authorization to work in the United States.
