Position Purpose and Responsibilities
The full-time Sexual Assault Prevention Coordinator will work directly with schools, community groups, and youth ages 12-22 to implement prevention curriculum. This coordinator will ensure all curriculum and presentations are prevention-focused and evidence-based. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work to decrease risk factors and increase protective factors for youth in Utah County by teaching primary prevention curriculum materials through Live Respect and Safe Dates Curriculum.
- Provide presentations directly to youth through schools and community-based organizations.
- Develop and administer pre- and post-test surveys for all youth participating in curriculum.
- Track and record all data, presentations, and evaluations.
- Evaluate findings and efficiency of curriculum and program.
- Ensure completion of all grant goals and objectives.
- Represent The Refuge Utah in a professional manner at tabling events, fairs, and other prevention-related events.
- Act as a liaison between The Refuge and local schools and universities for event planning.

Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (public health, social work, psychology, or similar) OR an equivalent combination of practical and academic experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting
- Organized and detail oriented
- Experience working with youth
- Can complete a 40-hour sexual assault training through our agency
- Must pass a background check & fingerprinting assessment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,600.00 - $43,680.00 per year
