Responsibilities:

• Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in a manner that ensures the safety and well-being of customers.
• Maintain a clean bar, including floors, shelves, tables, sinks, and equipment.
• Politely greet guests and welcome them to the establishment.
• Arrange bottles on shelves in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Manage money received from guests for purchase of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Keep records of purchases by guests for accounting purposes.
• Offer guests suggestions as to what types of drinks are available on the menu.
• Watch for any unruly or potentially violent behavior by guests who have been served alcohol.
• Call the police if fights break out or other violent behavior occurs.
• Offer to call taxis or a sober friend if the establishment allows it.
