Executive Chef Armando Navarro’s award-winning and locally-loved menu is crafted from Sonoma ingredients that change with the season. As the Server, you will take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guests’ tables according to restaurant and/or hotel service standards and specifications, courteously and efficiently. Collect payments. Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment and provide quality service.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

Ability to:

• Be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time.
• Focus attention on details.
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Provide legible communication.
• Compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Be a team player – need to be willing to lend a helping hand to any teammate at any time.·
• Maintain complete knowledge of, and strictly abide by, state liquor regulations (particularly those prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons, and drunk driving).·
• Maintain complete knowledge of, and comply with, all departmental policies/service procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• One year of experience as a casual upscale dining Server or equivalent.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
• Food Handler Certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate
• Computer training on P.O.S. system, preferably Toast.
• Prior training in guest relations
