POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Senior Technical Architect who is passionate about applying technology to help people make better decisions with data. The core function of this role is to ensure the health and uptime of the Decision Science servers and applications that form the basis for all our data integration, data science, and advanced analytic work that we do for the entire family of businesses.

This professional coordinates with the principal architect to oversee the end-to-end architecture, enhance and maintain business intelligence solutions. Responsible for implementing the design and support of enterprise-wide business intelligence applications and architecture. Solves complex business delivery problems. Requires minimal oversight and can develop advanced analytical solutions with minimal guidance. A successful candidate will be comfortable as a ‘jack- of-all-trades’.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage application layer for all Decision Science technologies with duties to include:

o Upgrade software and licensing keys for our applications and keep up to date with security patches
o Manage ticket creating with the vendor for issues arising from software
o Writeandrunscriptsformaintenanceactivities,especiallyforTableauServer
o Write and follow documentation for technical business processes
o Monitor security alerts and findings from our reports and proactively search vendor sites for patches to

remediate vulnerabilities
o Ensure that upgrade versions are compatible with all our other software components
o Manage user security for new and existing Business Intelligence tools in compliance with all audit requirements
o Proactively identify processes that would benefit from system automation to improve Business Intelligence team effectiveness and increase operating efficiencies
o Work with Cloud Computing Platforms (AWS/Azure) and other open-source technologies o Respondtoproductionsupporteventsasasharedresponsibility.

• Participate in new software evaluation to help make strategic technology decisions, with duties to include:

o Research and test new technology solutions, assist in vetting architectural changes that would have to occur to support enterprise adoption and determine impacts

o Learn as you go by reading published documentation on new software in order to ‘figure it out’.
o Develop and run test cases, determine root cause for failure, and invent options for remediation o Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures

Grow into a data pipeline developer and administrator to participate in business-facing projects.
o Leverage SQL knowledge to develop data pipelines to integrate data for analytic reporting.
o Facilitate reporting and report development to aid problem-solving and data analysis utilizing intelligent tools

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred (Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other quantitative subject a plus); or 2 to 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of experience working with various Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, or ERP software packages (Tableau, Informatica, SAP, Oracle, SQL Server, JDE, preferred)
• Familiarity with Azure Monitoring, Azure Portal, Azure Server monitoring and Cost Management
• Working knowledge on any of the key ETL/data pipeline market tools such as Informatica, Python, dbt,Azure Data Factory is preferred.
• Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint & Visio; must have expert functional knowledge of Excel
• Server Admin experience in Tableau is a plus
• Experience with JIRA/GitHub or other code management toolsets and experience with change control concepts.

• Ability to work on multiple projects, competing priorities, and ensure follow-through on committed deliverables.
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to concisely convey analytical interpretation and/or data issues to affected members of departments.
