What you will be doing

The Albertsons Companies is utilizing the latest in technologies to build market-leading, high scale & performance solutions for Merchandising programs. The Merchandising Technology team has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack to be part of a growing team dedicated to enabling key transformational initiatives.

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer who thrives in the technical landscape and desires to contribute in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to advance the Albertsons Companies team in creating responsive web-based applications that delight consumers and operate efficiently in a large-scale environment.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on technical Senior Engineer responsible for creating a technical vision across multiple Enterprise Item initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role must have knowledge about Merchandising business domain knowledge, in-depth in Full-Stack Technologies and Cloud Enablement solutions.

You will work as a part of an exciting and energetic team of professionals to deliver robust solutions using a wide array of technologies.

The position will be based in Plano, Texas or Pleasanton, California.

• Work with onsite and offshore vendors on key project deliverables.

The salary range is $118,600 to $154,240 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

What we are searching for

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in developing software applications using Java EE
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with cloud platform services and application development using Microsoft Azure OR AWS.
• Extensive experience with Web-Services (SOAP/RESTful) web service or micro services using Spring or Spring Boot
• Experience with Kotlin, Swift
• Extensive experience with messaging frameworks like JMS, MQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Extensive experience with processing XML/JSON data, Ajax
• Experienced with analyzing and tuning code/application performance under High volume/High availability environments.
• Experienced with database design, writing and tuning queries in RDBMS and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks.
• Knowledge of various front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular JS frameworks.
• Creative problem solver.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into working solutions.
• Results oriented with an ability to work in team and individual contributor work environments.
• Strong organization and interpersonal skills and a customer focused attitude.
