Opportunity
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment of software running on a Linux based edge device and in the cloud.
- Investigate and solve field issues in concert with our project teams
- Collaborate with scrum team members during sprint planning and daily standups and share your accomplishments during sprint reviews
- Provide constructive and honest feedback to the team
- Build unit tests and automation test suites to ensure our products deliver the highest quality
- Work with fellow engineers and architects to design our features and solutions

Skills/Requirements
- 4-8 years working in Software Development in Product Development
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience programming in Java and Python.
- Experience with development for Linux systems
- Experience in development for cloud based solutions preferred
- Strong knowledge of software engineer best practices, agile methodologies, CI/CD pipeline
- The more the merrier:
Distributed systems experience
OSGI experience
Front-End development (React, JavaScript, MaterialUI, etc.) exposure
Familiarity with Database SQL/NoSQL
- Interest in learning about control and optimization systems used in DER projects.
- Interest in learning about DER equipment and applications – including solar arrays, batteries, generators, fuel cells, among others.
- Interest in learning about resilience and economic use cases in DER projects.
