Job Summary
UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring for Senior Program Coordinator, OCR-VProv Clinical Research Admin
This position works under minimal supervision to direct the operation of the program or project, exercising independent judgment and authority as required. This position will be based within the Office of Clinical Research assisting with the development and delivery of educational programs and training to the wider research community. This individual will have knowledge of research systems at UTSW and be able to support researchers with system administration and upkeep. As part of the dissemination of research information and education, this position may be involved in website design, development, and upkeep for the OCR, in collaboration with marketing. This individual will field queries from the research community providing support, as a content expert, on behalf of the OCR. This role will also involve the delivery of educational sessions and training related to research operations and policies on behalf of the OCR in collaboration with other departments across UTSW.
Experience and Education
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education/Social Science, or related field, and seven (7) years experience in appropriate field required.
Two (2) years in supervisory capacity preferred.
Additional related work experience may be considered in lieu of stated minimum education on a year for year basis.
Job Duties
Directs, analyzes, coordinates, and evaluates program operation and procedures. Develops and/or oversees development of budget for program.
Develops, cultivates, and maintains working relationships with internal/external departments/agencies and other organizations associated with and/or receiving benefit from program.
Establishes program goals and objectives and directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and/or approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals.
Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities.
Plans and coordinates special events and participates in conferences; presents data and program information.
Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system of internal controls, which provide reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safe-guarded, and financial information is reliable.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Coordinates training and development of staff as necessary.
Reads literature and attends functions to keep abreast of relevant scientific and technical developments related to program.
Serves on committees as representative of assigned program as appropriate.
May provide supervision to staff members.
