Job DescriptionKnowledge and experience in configuration control, engineering/data management, and deficiency reporting for an ACAT I equivalent weapon system program from technology development through final disposition of the B-21 Weapon System Program Office, AFLCMC/WB, at Tinker AFB OK.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide major weapon system program and project assistance and timely and accurate management advice and assistance to facilitate aircraft modernization and sustainment program implementation including but not limited to program/project integration for the B-21 Sustainment Review, General Officer Steering Group, Internal Program Review, Program Status Review, POM, Sustainment Roadmap, Sustainment Dashboard, Sustainment Battle Rhythm, and facilitating/assisting with the life cycle integration teams.
Knowledge and understanding of weapon system acquisition, life cycle management, planning and program management, problem solving, weapon systems supply chain management, sustainment support and project services.
Assist in performing project planning, project monitoring and control, supplier management, integrated project management, risk management, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
Apply knowledge and experience with documents and concepts to include the Defense Acquisition Management Framework, types of funding, Product Support Elements (PSE) and implementation guidance in accordance with AFI 63-101, DoDI 5000.02 Operations of Defense Acquisition Systems Enclosures 1 – 12 and other applicable guidance.
Assist in the preparation of briefings, reports, and visual aids as requested.
Experience and knowledge managing program documentation, program records, program history, meeting minutes and action items, proposals, deviations, & waivers.
Experience and knowledge in preparing for and executing program technical reviews and functional and physical configuration audits.
Experience organizing and operating Configuration Control Boards and Business Management Boards or their equivalents.
Experience with configuration status accounting databases contractor data substantiation.
Knowledge and experience; preparing, reviewing, and obtaining approval of contract data requirements lists and requests for nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers.
Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of applicable commercial, DoD 5000.02, and associated USAF configuration management/data management (CM/DM) processes and policies across the weapon system lifecycle.
Assist in planning, execution, and participate in program design reviews, technical meetings, and working groups as applicable to provide configuration management perspectives and resolve any configuration management issues.
Support the analyses of the impacts of the configuration management change process on lifecycle sustainment.
Participate on government and industry teams to resolve program configuration management issues.
Support development and coordination of program configuration and data management requirements.
Support program data management tasks to include creating and maintaining Engineering Data Management Plans and Engineering Data Activity Files as well as planning and executing Engineering Data Guidance Conferences and In-Process Reviews (IPRs) of engineering drawings.
Development and review of configuration control and data management relevant requirements and products.
Support all aspects of the deficiency reporting, management, and closure across the weapon system lifecycle.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Have a Bachelors degree with least 15 years’ experience.
TS/SCI clearance is required.
