Senior Planner / Project Manager
Halff Associates Inc., is seeking to immediately hire a Senior Planner / Project Manager for their Richardson, Texas office. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of planners, landscape architects, and other support experts on a wide variety of planning efforts with public and private entities ranging from comprehensive plan preparation; park, recreation, and trails planning; active transportation planning; downtown and corridor planning; special area planning; and urban design efforts.
The responsibilities of the Senior Planner / Project Manager position will include project management and support of senior staff projects, public engagement, plan development, report writing and document production, and assisting with the preparation of computer-generated maps and graphic elements needed to convey the ideas generated in each planning effort. The Senior Planner/Project Manager will also mentor younger staff; balance client, company, and project team responsibilities; manage budgets and tasks; and oversee the preparation of high-quality documents and deliverables. In addition, the candidate will periodically participate in business development activities and represent the firm.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in community/urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture or a closely related field; advanced degree a plus;
- Six to 10 years of experience in a planning capacity;
- At least 3 years of project management experience required;
- Well organized, detail oriented, and highly motivated;
- Strong writing skills;
- Demonstrated abilities in facilitating community stakeholder input and public meetings;
- Knowledge of computer programs (GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office programs) and the ability to produce attractive maps, graphics, and documents; and,
- Ability to travel periodically to client jurisdictions.
Desired:
- Experience in both the public and private sector; and,
- AICP and/or other certifications from our allied professions (ASLA, AIA, CNU-A, LEED-ND, etc.).
Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
