GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Insights, is the lead strategic partner for key brands in the Campbell Snacks portfolio. This individual is responsible for providing insights into the consumer, competition, and marketplace, and in partnership with the cross-functional team, translating those insights into actionable brand, marketing communications, and innovation strategies and initiatives. Proficiency in custom market research, syndicated data analysis, and secondary research resources will be required in order to create relevant insights plans and leverage all tools at your disposal to inform business recommendations. This role reports into the Senior Director, Insights for Campbell Snacks and may have direct report(s).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This individual is the go-to thought partner for his/her business area who brings value to the business through insights, strategic thinking, and creative problem solving. The successful candidate will
  • Be a strong and collaborative leader
  • Have solid proficiency in custom market research, syndicated data analysis, and secondary research
  • Be knowledgeable about “tried and true” research methodologies and emerging/unique solutions
  • Be able to synthesize across multiple data sources to formulate insights
  • Be able to translate insights into meaningful actions based on strong business acumen
  • Drive for results with a sense of urgency
  • Be curious and be able to dig below the surface for the most impactful insights
  • Have solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a good educator to cross-functional partners to enable them to successfully apply insights to their business area(s)
  • Be able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Be able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Specific duties include:
  • Build learning plans in support of known business initiatives and to inspire future business-building opportunities
  • Design and implement consumer research and business analytics to inform or guide key business issues and plans
  • Synthesize and integrate consumer/marketplace insights from current knowledge estate to inform on current issues and opportunities/challenges
  • Play an active role on cross-functional teams related to brand strategy, marketing communications, innovation, and customer activation
  • Enable fact-based decision-making by being a strong voice that advocates for the consumer and the health of the brands and creatively solves for what is possible within business realities
  • Manage and mentor direct report(s)
COMPLEXITY AND SCOPE:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: College degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 10 years
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
MBA or other advanced degree preferred
Preference for client side, CPG experience
% OF TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION: 0-20%
