Status: Full-time

Duty Location: Baltimore Safe Haven facilities in Baltimore, MD
Reports to: Program Director
Baltimore Safe Haven (BSH) envisions a world where every transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer (TLGBQ) person can live healthy, self-determined, and self-sufficient lives free from stigma, violence, and oppression. BSH’s mission is to provide opportunities for a higher quality of life for TLGBQ people in Baltimore City living in survival mode. We achieve this by engaging those living in survival mode in our communities and challenging health, safety, and prosperity barriers.
Summary
This position oversees our work related to ending the HIV epidemic including but not limited to HIV testing and holds primary responsibility for drop in center management, community outreach, and community clinic operations. The coordinator must stay well-informed about risks, vulnerabilities, needs and opportunities for populations served, and opportunities impacting the organization’s mission, vision, values, policies and the community served.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee all aspects of HIV Prevention programs
- Provide HIV prevention education to communities at risk for HIV/STI
- Distribute wellness materials, flyers/brochures, and other informational documents to clients.
- Maintain/update service records with observations and related information in CRM, worksheets, or other appropriate documentation methods.
- Advise leadership, clients, and community groups on needs and issues related to improving general health, such as community programs and social services.
- Provide essential health care services such as HIV testing
- Attend weekly and or monthly meetings with BSH staff and the outreach team
- Coordinate with patients who are coming to the clinic
- Calling patients to come into the clinic for follow up
- Coordinate the delivery of supplies and material to BSH.
- Be the contact person - respond to emails and communicate with the University of Maryland
- Others duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- Valid Driver's License required
- Clean Driving Record required
- Certified HIV tester preferred OR willing to become an accredited tester.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive knowledge of the needs and experiences of TLGBQ population especially people who are transgender
- Ability to provide visionary and strategic leadership and translate that vision into measurable strategies and concrete actions that advance the mission
- Experience in clinical supervision and program management
- Mastery and understanding of Trauma-Informed Care models of treatment
- Strong leadership, supervisory skills, and knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to advanced computing skills, including word processing, e-mail, calendars, forms, spreadsheets, databases, reports.
- Experience with case management systems
Other Information: Incumbent subject to an initial background check and random drug testing.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
