How You Will Make an Impact:

Seeking a Sr Financial Analyst who will provide finance and business partnering leadership to support Freight & Duties for LSLPG, BPG & GSG businesses within Thermo Fisher Scientific. The Sr Financial Analyst is responsible for performing and driving analytics, enhancement of data collection and consolidation through improved system utilization and automation of reports, as well as processes. In addition, the position holder will provide valuable decision support, identify, and implement operational improvement opportunities.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead AOP / Forecast / Pre MBR discussion for Freight & Duties
  • Partner with Transportation Sr. Management on inflation related risks and opportunities to offset
  • Monitor and analyze financials, including leading monthly and quarterly reporting for Freight & Duties
  • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics relating for Freight & Duties
  • Work with Freight Pay and Audit company on onboarding new carriers
  • Provide cost benefit analysis on potential changes to the supply chain
  • Understand and deploy the best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex data and topics
  • Develop high quality effective presentations (i.e., engaging, motivating, concise, well-prep)
  • Identify, communicate, and lead risk & opportunities
  • Build and develop a high performing team of financial analyst

How You Will Get Here:

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field is required; equivalent years of professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience

  • 5+ years of business and Finance experience
  • Experience in leading and running a distributed team
  • Prior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization
  • Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • An ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and strong finance skills
  • Proven understanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), PowerPoint, and Hyperion is preferred
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven business partner and influencer

Travel requirements

  • 10% domestic/international travel required
