Join us as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst!
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Cyber Monitoring team.
The Cyber Monitoring team is responsible for identifying and mitigating insider threats according to established policies and standards using industry-established risk frameworks and guidance while conforming to regulatory requirements. The Cyber Monitoring Team interfaces with a variety of organizational leaders and technology SMEs to share the corporate information security vision and solicit involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing, innovation, and cooperation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hardening baselines and be able to support and develop configuration management processes.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
  • Support and contribute to the implementation of security configuration (hardening) standards across all infrastructure components in the firm and provide insights to management on the status of remediation.
  • Collaborate with systems owners to assess security weaknesses and provide prevention and detection recommendations for potential cyber threats.
  • Develop and implement configuration management processes based on hardening baselines (i.e. CIS, STIG).
  • Manage and maintain vulnerability management tools, to include maintenance and delivery of scanning jobs across the environment.
  • Outline milestones and target dates to meet project requirements and set expectations with other teams.
  • Work with other members of the security team to develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Administer and support cybersecurity monitoring and forensics solutions by developing use cases based on the evolving threat landscape and according to the solution's capabilities.
  • Enhance monitoring solutions through integration with SIEM tools for additional analytical features.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber risks, threats, and trends and recommend areas for additional monitoring coverage.
  • Assist with investigations into information security and cyber incidents.
  • Maintain a strong code of confidentiality based on the sensitivity of the work being performed.
Qualifications include:
Required
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area.
  • At least five years of hands-on experience within a cybersecurity discipline, including at least two years in one or more of the following areas: Configuration Management, Enterprise Security Architecture/Design, Vulnerability and Patch management.
  • Prior experience with security evaluation/identification, assessment methodology, vulnerability management, OWASP model, and CVE ratings.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills working within and outside of the team.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects to completion with aggressive deadlines while showing exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and comfortable interacting with senior management.
  • Some after hours and weekend work may be required.
Preferred
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: Security Operations, Incident Response, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Penetration Testing, Red Teaming, Network Security Management, Application Security Management/Secure Coding, Cyber Risk Management.
  • Prior experience with use case development, alert response, and threat assessments using industry frameworks.
  • Experience in the financial services industry and establishing controls using security best practices and frameworks (i.e. FFIEC, NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, SWIFT).
  • Certification in CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC
  • Experience with a scripting language; Python preferred

Salary Range
BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000, which is specific to Jersey City, NJ and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
