Responsibilities include, evaluating and analyzing salary data, recommending pay grades, and participating in compensation surveys and serving as an advisor to managers with compensation related activity. What you’ll do as a Senior Compensation Analyst:
- Act as a strategic, influential, and collaborative partner with the various enterprise businesses and support groups
- Provide creative solutions and ideas when supporting the enterprise with compensation processes and procedures to support attraction and retention strategies that are consistent within a culture which values the whole employee
- Participate in market salary surveys including job matching, data input, results analysis and reporting. Includes base salaries, bonuses, and long-term incentives.
- Write job descriptions and make recommendations for salary grades
- Prepare standard enterprise reports and ad hoc reports, as requested by leadership
- Effectively communicate confidential information with leaders
- Analyze information reported in industry surveys to ensure competitiveness
- Maintain files, records, and programs to capture, report, and analyze compensation data
- Responsible for position management including job descriptions, titles, Occupation Codes, Rate Codes, and assignment to appropriate salary grades based on market and internal data
- Administer the salary administration processes including annual merit review, out of cycle increases, promotions, and adjustments
- Provide advice and counsel to management regarding salary and incentive plan issues including policy and guideline interpretation, new hire offers, internal equity, severance, and market adjustments
- Provide input on recommendations for annual merit increase budgets and salary structure movement based on market data, our competitive positions, and budgetary constraints
- Keep apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance
- Other duties, as assigned
Job Requirements:
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources or closely related field
- 5 or more years of progressive compensation experience in a large complex employer setting
- Current knowledge of compensation program designs, systems, market dynamics and industry trends
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills as well as good presentation skills
- Values ethics, professionalism, and maintains high level of confidentiality
- Ability to build and foster strong, productive working relationships
- Detail orientated, coupled with the ability to work well under pressure
- Confidentiality is critical to success
What is an added plus?
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification
- SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification
- Experience in other Human Resources functions such as: Employment, Benefits, Training, etc.
- General knowledge of, or experience working in, the Industrial Construction industry
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely. Must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will be in a conservative corporate office environment operating and functioning at a fast pace. Our corporate campus includes an on-site café with various daily breakfast, lunch and snack-time selections, a sizeable fitness center equipped with various state of the art work out equipment & weights, outdoor walking/jogging-path, herb garden, basketball half-court, sand-volley ball court, soccer field, as well as a clinic with a certified nurse practitioner.
